My Second Semester in the US

Posted on: 19 April 2024 BY: Ide

After a very good start on my first semester in the US ending up with such great adjustment to the education system in the US after having hard times in the first hand. In my second semester I take six classes and among my six classes my favorites ones is principle of Finance because it allows me to learn finances world that I have never been exposed to before such as investing in stocks and bonds, it might be not a lot of people’s favorites because it requires you to do lot of research and understand the market before investing. Learning this type of investment will help me in my future career.

Besides, I also learn about personal finance which is very important nowadays where the class taught me on how to plan for my retirement, types of investment available, how much do I need to save today in order to reach my financial goals in the future. These things I personally think that many people are not aware of earlier in their career and I am glad I learned these concepts throughout my second semester in the US.

As far as my academic performance I did well in most of my classes and as the semester comes to an end, I found it difficult because of the back-to-back work that I needed to complete before the semester ends. I sat and thought back that I survived the first semester by asking questions, go to my professor’s office hours and most importantly managing my schedule and stick to it because sometimes I got caught in procrastinating a lot, however, things that I usually do to stop myself from being procrastinating are set up a reminder, using campus resources such as academic center to provide tips on how to prepare well for finals and most importantly eat well and sleep well which will help me perform better in most of my exams. I look forward to end this semester with a good grades.
