Time Flies

Posted on: 13 February 2019 BY: DCorbafo

I have been in the United States attending the University of South Dakota for almost two years since 2017, and I cannot believe I will be graduating soon!

During my time here, I have learned so many great things from the courses that I took, which I am confident will also help me in my future goals of becoming a human resource manager and a businesswoman. The great things I have learned include lean management, business strategies for a competitive business environment, critical issues in human resources and possible policies to solve them, accounting, stress management, and others. Out of all the course options I had choose from, I decided to pursue stress management because I believe that it will help me in finding ways that I can use to deal with work pressure and to live positively.

I believe my time management skills improved by taking 6 subjects every semester. Taking so many classes also allowed me to divide my time wisely so that I will be able to have time for rest, talking to my loved ones, and studying and completing my assignments. I realized that was a challenge that I overcame.

In addition, I would like to thank the USTL Program and American Councils staff for giving me this great opportunity and supporting me during my studies. I would also like to thank the USTL scholars for being helpful and supportive friends.
